We were sent a map to this play area as I don't think we'd have ever stumbled across it on our own. It was funded by the residents association.
The key distinguishing feature of the park are two stone hippos, great photo opportunity to sit on.
The park is split into three sections. A football/sports goal, a younger children areas, and the central area.
The younger area has a small slide, a baby swing, and a stand on spinner. Apart from the spinner it was too small for our almost 4yr old so very much for toddlers. The good thing is because it's separate from the other area (and fully gated) it's protected if older children are being boisterous.
The main area has a (very noisy) roundabout, a big slide, a net swing, and a climbing frame. The climbing frame is definitely for bigger children as it's monkey bars and firemans pole. I have a soft spot for a slide set into a hill, but it's definitely muddy getting up to the top.
It's only a short distance from Longbarn park, so could be a combined visit
Parking
We walked but there's on street parking on Anderson Close
Toilets
Closest toilets are probably at the Birchwood shopping centre
Cafe
There's a lovely little cafe/childrens bookshop Tell Tales about half a mile away (WA2 0QQ)
