We have always called this the rowing club park, as it's alongside the access to the rowing club. It looks like it was built by the developers at the same time as the housing behind it.
It's mainly aimed at younger children with a good climbing frame, two sets of swings (2 normal, 2 baby) a couple of ride ons (boat and donkey) and a roundabout.
Down the road is a good spot for feeding the birds as a load of swans, ducks and geese live in front of the rowing club. It also gives you a good chance of watching boats. When we visited the fire brigade were doing some training with their water rescue crew so we saw a fire engine as well as their speedboat.
Parking
We're close enough to cycle (and it's a lovely cycle East along the Mersey from the Riverside retail park) but I'd park where Howley lane meets Holmsfield road.
Toilets
Victoria park is not far away (over the bridge) or the Sainsburys is 3/4mile away
Cafe
There's a Mcdonalds about a mile away or the Sainsburys cafe.
